With the goal of bringing healthcare closer to the people, AGA Health Foundation – Obuasi, in collaboration with AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, the Otumfuo Foundation, Geocrest, the Obuasi Municipal Health Directorate, and other key stakeholders, held a Medical Outreach (Mini Health Clinic) at Binsere.
The outreach brought essential healthcare services directly to the doorstep of residents, offering free medical screening, counseling, and health education. A total of 1,087 individuals benefited from the exercise — comprising 723 females and 364 males — a clear reflection of the community’s enthusiasm and trust in the initiative.
Participants were screened for various conditions, including non-communicable diseases, breast and cervical cancers, and other health concerns, with referrals provided for cases that required further medical attention.
The event not only strengthened health awareness but also fostered a sense of collective responsibility toward healthier living. Through partnerships like this, AGA Health Foundation continues to champion accessible, quality healthcare and empower communities with the knowledge to make informed health choices.
