Throwback: Celebrating International Women’s Day in Obuasi – March 5, 2025

On March 5, 2025, AGA Health Foundation, together with AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Mine, Underground Mining Alliance (UMA), DreamOval Foundation, Epiroc, Quantum LC Company Ltd., Kenzad Co. Ltd., Veolia Ghana, Mac Partners, the Queen Mothers, and the traditional leaders of Obuasi, came together to host a truly remarkable International Women’s Day celebration at Obuasi Anyinam Lodge.

The event brought together over 600 women and men from the community and beyond, uniting to honor the resilience, contributions, and strength of women. The day was filled with inspiring speeches, empowerment sessions, and interactive activities, all designed to uplift, educate, and support women in every aspect of life.
